When Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jackie Goldschneider suddenly became friendly with Teresa Giudice, it seemed…odd. Jackie had been tight with Margaret Josephs and Melissa Gorga. And Teresa spread untrue cheating rumors about Jackie’s husband, Evan Goldschneider. So, after seasons of sparring, why did Teresa and Jackie become buddies? According to Jackie, their friendship was “new, growing, and mutually respectful … unexpected.”
Since Teresa decided to end her relationship with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, everything has shifted in Jersey. Season 14 morphed from family drama in previous seasons to friendship drama. And all the friendships are shifting. “It’s disappointing, and it’s sad. And I guess she’s not who I thought she was,” Margaret said of Jackie.
Melissa explains what happened to her friendship with Jackie
Melissa spoke to Access Hollywood about Season 14 of RHONJ while walking the carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. “You know what it’s a lot about the friendships this season opposed to just the family drama and really there’s a big switch in friendships and just people are going to surprise you for sure,” she stated.
Melissa also stated that her faltering friendship with Jackie had “nothing to do with” Teresa. I’m not convinced that is the case. Jackie and Teresa’s sudden friendship seems mighty strange.
“I think we drifted apart of little bit, but it had nothing to do with anything other than Jackie just had a change of heart on a bunch of different things and feelings. Jackie and I aren’t completely not speaking,” Melissa explained, “but we’re definitely not where we were.” That doesn’t sound…promising.
Since Teresa and Melissa refused to interact during the filming of Season 14, these changing friendships should at least provide some drama. Teresa’s friends Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral were allegedly involved in a physical altercation. Fingers crossed that the season is different and entertaining without the war between Teresa and the Gorgas.
