Who Does Joey Choose?
On November 29, Reality Steve revealed via Instagram that Daisy Kent was the winner of Season 28. The blogger told fans Joey and Daisy got engaged in the finale after he said goodbye to runner-up Kelsey Anderson.
Fans in the comment section approved of Joey’s choice.
“Yay period [Daisy] has an awesome personality,” one Instagram user wrote.
The 25-year-old won over fans during her one-on-one date where she opened up about her struggles with hearing loss as a result of Lyme disease. She explained that she uses a cochlear implant to improve her hearing. Fans appreciated Daisy’s ability to stay so positive after facing health struggles growing up.
On a clip of their one-on-one date posted to The Bachelor Instagram page, fans gushed over the blonde beauty’s grace.
“Team Daisy,” one user wrote.
“She better win, or else I am going to bawl my eyes out. I love [Daisy],” one user commented.
Updated Spoilers
Fans were under the assumption that Daisy was the Season 28 winner until February 21 when a Bachelor fan account shared new evidence. Bachelornation.scoop on Instagram shared a series of screen grabs from Joey and Kelsey’s Instagram Stories, which looked strikingly similar. The creator pointed out that the two had been posting photos and videos with indistinguishable backgrounds.
“The compilation of picture evidence that Reality Steve’s original spoiler might be wrong. Swipe through all the warnings to see,” they wrote in the caption. “The pictures show that Joey and his possible F1 were at the same Safe House Visit because their backgrounds match the house that is used for SHV’s.”
The user credited Reddit as the original source of the information.
Reality Steve withdrew his initial prediction on February 27, telling fans Daisy was, in fact, not the recipient of Joey’s final rose.
“Back in November I had reported that Joey was engaged to Daisy. That spoiler was wrong,” he wrote in an Instagram Post. “Joey is engaged to Kelsey A. and has been since filming ended.”
“When info was presented to me last week of Joey and Kelsey at the same Happy Couple weekend house, I realized the spoiler was probably 98% wrong,” he continued.
What Is the Unprecedented Finale?
Alongside rumors about who Joey chooses in the end, there has also been speculation about what the “unprecedented finale” could be. Reality Steve shared his thoughts in a February 27 Instagram Post. He theorized that Daisy caught on that Joey was going to pick Kelsey and not her. He said that not only does Daisy tell Kelsey her theory but she also tells Joey she knows it’s not her on finale day.
According to Steve, the breakup between Daisy and Joey was not contentious.
“I can’t know exact wording of the conversation, but the gist I got was that it was a very gracious concession that she wasn’t being picked,” he wrote. “She knows Joey is in love with Kelsey, wishes them happiness, ect.”
Steve suspected Daisy’s gracious goodbye will make her a shoo-in for the Bachelorette if she wants the gig. He said he currently does not know who the next Bachelorette will be.
Is Daisy Back With Her Ex?
Recently, there have been rumors that Daisy reconnected with her ex after filming but Steve says that is not the case.
“No truth to any rumors Daisy has gotten back with her ex,” he wrote in his February 27 post.
It looks as though the Minnesota native is currently single and hopefully ready to mingle. We would love to see her as the Bachelorette.
