Just yesterday, in what feels like a not-so-subtle PR move, Brittany Cartwright announced that she was separated from her husband Jax Taylor. Now Jax is saying that’s not the case. At least, not anymore.
The former Vanderpump Rules stars have struggled for relevancy since they were fired from left the show in 2020. But thanks to Scandoval, Bravo whipped up a spinoff called The Valley. The new series will follow both Jax and Brittany, along with another former VPR star, Kristen Doute, as they live their adult lives in, well, the Valley. There are some new Bravolebs joining them for the ride, too.
So what is really going on in the L.A. suburbs? While leaving the gym in a not-at-all staged pap walk, Jax shared with Page Six.
Jax on Brittany leaving home: “She’s back now”
“We’re together. We’re living in our home right now,” he told the media outlet. Just a few hours before, Brittany took to the couple’s podcast and made a statement to the contrary.
Brittany revealed, “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
But Jax is either in denial or Brittany is being intentionally vague with her words. Jax reiterated, “She was in a house for a while, but yeah, she’s back now.”
The former SURver added, “It’s not evil or nastiness. It’s just two people that you now are hitting a 10-year mark in their marriage.” The couple married in front of VPR cameras in 2019.
They were on a break
Brittany and Jax prevailed in their relationship despite cheating rumors (and truths) and went on to have a son in 2022.
“We’re just spending some time apart and just trying to re-assess, you know, our situation. We have a child involved and we just wanna do what’s best for our kid,” Jax explained.
As for the sus timing of this news, a rep insisted it was “most definitely not PR related in any way.”
The Valley premieres Tuesday, March 19 at 9/8c on Bravo.
