Peter Weber ‘Shocked’ by His Banishment Against Phaedra Parks in The Traitors

Peter Weber has been labeled “the Faithful King” by some of his costars from Season 2 of The Traitors. After he led the charge to trap Traitors Dan Gheesling and Parvati Shallow, the heat started coming toward Phaedra Parks during the last few episodes.

By this point in the series, the Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran had skillfully evaded two banishments. The first was when she “shredded” Dan after he hoped to catch the lawyer off guard, and the second was when she debunked Trishelle Cannatella’s statements one by one a few episodes prior.

However, her most challenging roundtable discussion must have been Episodes 9 and 10. The attorney-turned-Housewife went toe-to-toe with The Bachelor star, slamming him in the process and successfully garnering the votes she needed to make it another day. So, how did Peter react to his banishment?

Peter was devastated losing to Phaedra during Season 2 of The Traitors

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest batch of episodes, then you know Peter thought he had a chance to outlast Phaedra during the night’s roundtable discussion. But like the fallen ones before him, he found out just how wrong he was.

“I was shocked when I kind of saw the writing on the wall,” Peter said during the Post Morterm. “Obviously, all of the heat was on Phaedra at that point, and so she was gonna … try to do everything she could to deflect a little bit, and she had nothing on me.”

During the explosive moment, Phaedra called Peter out at the roundtable for being too exclusive with his behavior. It’s also when she delivered her epic line, reminding the pilot she wouldn’t be kissing his ass for a wilted rose. However, according to Peter, there was a “method to my madness.”

“Just because people didn’t see it in the moment doesn’t mean that it wasn’t effective. We got two Traitors out [and] a blocked murder. Everything I did was to try and get us to the end and have a chance at winning. Plain and simple.”

The Traitors continues on Peacock on Thursdays at 9/8c.
