Those paying attention to the Vanderpump Rules drama over the past year know that Rachel Leviss and Lisa Vanderpump are not at all on good terms. Rachel’s recent lawsuit has now soured things further.
The lawsuit alleges that Tom Sandoval filmed an illicit video of Rachel on FaceTime without her consent. The suit further implicates Ariana Madix, saying she shared this video with Rachel, herself, and potentially, other VPR cast members and friends.
Rachel’s latest legal move is not the first attack she’s made against her former Bravo associates. She’s made several claims against her former castmates and employers, including (and especially) LVP. So, what was Lisa’s reaction to the lawsuit?
Rachel’s team slams Lisa for “victim shaming” in her response to the lawsuit
In an interaction with a pap from TMZ, Lisa addressed Rachel’s lawsuit against Tom and Ariana “for revenge porn – like, recording revenge porn and sharing it.” Lisa immediately responded, “That’s ridiculous. I think if you don’t want to have somebody share your porn, then don’t send it to your best friend’s boyfriend, right?” Yikes.
When the pap pointed out that Rachel was simply on FaceTime and didn’t know she was being recorded, Lisa said, “Oh, okay.” Despite being presented with this seemingly new information, Lisa said, “Well I have to go.” The pap continued explaining the situation, saying Ariana had shared the screen recording with castmates.
Lisa said, “She didn’t share it with me. Why did she leave me out?” She seemed to be half-joking. “I don’t get it.” The pap then asked if Lisa would concede that Ariana and the cast’s behavior was “inappropriate.” Lisa said, “It’s all inappropriate.”
A representative for Rachel responded to Lisa’s words. They told TMZ that Lisa’s comments were “A disappointing choice for an executive on the show since victim shaming is a defense mechanism often used by abusers and coming from a person in a position of power can cause even further harm to a person’s mental health.”
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
