I was already wary of Larsa Pippen after she became so close to the Kardashians. You really can’t trust people who have had that much work done… So when she cat-walked her way back onto the Real Housewives of Miami with Marcus Jordan, something didn’t sit right with me. Before Michael Jordan’s son, Larsa’s dating life has garnered plenty of attention even though her list isn’t that long. The mother of four briefly dated Future, a married Malik Beasley, and Scott Disick, but she sunk her teeth in Marcus and clung on. In November 2022, the duo made it official, but their recent breakup rumors have had fans rethinking their love for one another.
Their Foundation Isn’t Sturdy
When Larsa and Marcus first found love, it was in a pretty jealous place. Even though they’ve been together for a year, both Marcus and Larsa initially denied they were dating. In a weird interview with People, Larsa was asked what opened her eyes to Marcus as a suitor, and it turned out it was jealousy. Larsa noted “I think it was one night we went out and there was a girl that was there. She was trying to talk to him, and I was getting jealous over it. And it was weird because I’m not really the jealous person, but I was jealous over the situation And so then, I was thinking maybe I do really like him. That kind of sealed the deal.” Personally this would have been a major red flag for me because it comes off as controlling.
Larsa Likes To Compare Her Men
Like it or not, Larsa has a bad habit of talking about her exes but even worse, comparing each one of them with the other. If I were Marcus, that would have turned me off immediately! I’m sure he already gets compared with his father when it comes to basketball, so he doesn’t need to be worried about coming up short with her past lovers. The Real Housewives of Miami star’s longest relationship was her marriage to Scottie Pippen, which was 23 years. During last year’s reunion, Larsa told Andy Cohen, “I was married for 23 years. I’ve always had sex, like, four times a night.” When Andy joked that Marcus had “big shoes to fill,” Larsa clapped back, saying, “Well, he has a size 15 shoe, so I think he’s OK.” Dear god is nothing sacred!?
Larsa also shared her thoughts while speaking on the On Display with Melissa Gorga podcast that she often compared her boyfriends to Scottie, noting, “I was married to a really famous guy that was really cute; that had a good body; that was really successful; that gave me four gorgeous kids, so where the hell are you gonna find a guy that can, like, fill in?”
Larsa Loves an Athlete
Listen, I get it; everyone has a type when they are looking for love and Larsa just has a love of athletes. Could it be their body or their large NBA paychecks – who knows? The odd thing that sticks out to me is the fact that Larsa once swore to give up on dating athletes, yet here we are again with another basketball player. Actually, Larsa once shared with Us Weekly, “If you’re a nurse and you’ve worked in a hospital, you’re more likely to have friends that are doctors. I’m trying to avoid athletes.”
The Soft Launch Breakup
However, arguably the biggest red flag of them all is the couple’s recent mock break-up. During the Super Bowl, both Marcus and Larsa unfriended one another on social media and removed their photos of one another. But on Valentine’s Day, the couple was spotted out buying two dozen roses, and Larsa sported a shiny diamond ring. Honestly, I have been given whiplash from this couple’s relationship – PICK A STRUGGLE. The breakup seemed like a PR stunt, which has me thinking: if you can’t just be happy with a normal relationship without making up needless drama for yourself, is the love even real? Throw in the towels, guys; we all know Michael would be thrilled.
