Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County slammed Leah McSweeney recently over her lawsuit against Andy Cohen.
In case you missed it, Leah shocked the Bravosphere when she filed a federal lawsuit against the network and made severe claims about their treatment of her on set while filming Seasons 12 and 13 of The Real Housewives of New York City. Furthermore, she alleged that Andy, Bravo’s head honcho, apparently enjoys hitting the slopes with some of his colleagues — also known as Leah’s fellow Real Housewives.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Vicki said she had no idea about the specifics of Leah’s lawsuit, but she did have choice words about the move in general. “I don’t know much other than she is suing Andy, which is crazy to me,” she said. “Why she is waiting now for everybody else and bringing our bosses down, I don’t know because I wasn’t there.”
Vicki calls Leah’s lawsuit against Andy and Bravo “dirty”
After news of Leah’s lawsuit became public, many other Housewives came to Andy’s defense. According to Vicki, who’s worked with Bravo and Andy since 2006, Leah’s lawsuit is nothing other than “dirty.” She even accused the RHONY alum of “trying to get deep pockets” from the filing.
Shortly after the lawsuit was finalized, Leah made a post online, saying she never thought she’d be sharing her story. She added that she was “petrified to speak on it and was warned not to.”
Andy and his team of lawyers eventually hit back at Leah’s claims, calling them “categorically false.”
“Mr. Cohen never used cocaine with any cast member on any Real Housewives show or with any other Bravo employee. The absence of any reasonable basis to make such allegations is confirmed by your pleading itself,” the letter directed toward Leah read.
“The truth matters. Litigation cannot be used to create fake news. And it cannot be used as a vehicle to spread false and malicious lies in furtherance of a shakedown. We demand that you issue an immediate public retraction and apologize to Mr. Cohen. Every day you fail to do so only increases the damages suffered by Mr. Cohen.”
