Recently, Vanderpump Rules fans saw Scheana Shay expressing sadness and a bit of jealousy over Ariana Madix’s casting on Dancing with the Stars Season 32.
Scheana confessed to Lisa Vanderpump that, from the moment LVP made it on the show, it had been Scheana’s dream to also compete on the ballroom floor. Lisa recalled, “Oh my God. When I did Dancing with the Stars, you said to me ‘That’s what I want more than anything.’”
In a confessional, Scheana told the cameras she was happy for Ariana but “sad for me at the same time.” In a much ruder comment, she also said, “She has come such a long way from being my backup dancer.” So, what was Ariana’s reaction?
Ariana hopes she paved a way for Scheana toward DWTS
In her recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, Ariana confronted Scheana’s comments about DWTS. Andy Cohen specifically asked, “What was your reaction to Scheana’s, kind of, telling everyone that Dancing with the Stars was her dream? She supported you getting it but now she’s feeling a certain way about it.”
Ariana responded, “I mean, on one hand, I can totally understand being happy for a friend while also feeling like, oh, you did also really want this thing for yourself. But on the other hand, my thought process is that if one person from our show gets on it, wouldn’t that help someone else from our show get on it?”
She concluded her thoughts on the matter by saying, “So, you know, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. And that’s kind of where I’m at with that.”
When WWHL posted the clip to TikTok, fans showed up in full force to praise how reasonable Ariana’s answer was while also throwing some shade at Scheana for routinely making things about herself.
