Brittany Cartwright has fired back at fans who say she and Jax Taylor are milking their relationship issues as promo for their new show, The Valley.
The pair, who met on Vanderpump Rules years ago, have showcased a lot of their lives on reality television. The duo went through several cheating scandals, breakups, and make-ups until their ousting from the Pump Rules crew. Eventually, Jaxy Boy (as James Kennedy likes to call him) said he grew up, asked Brittany to be his forever, and went off to have a kid together.
Now, they’re set to reappear on Bravo in their new show all about adulting. Interesting, right? Also interesting is that right as their show is about to launch, they’ve announced their marital issues. However, Brittany insisted it’s not what fans think it is.
Brittany says The Valley promo gives reasons for Jax separation
In case you missed it, Britt revealed a few weeks ago that she had taken some time away from Jax for her “mental health.” Of course, fans wondered why they were announcing it now rather than later, with some even saying it was just to draw eyes to their new show, also starring Kristen Doute. But Brittany is done playing nice.
When a user commented on her Instagram that she and Jax were only faking for viewers, the VPR alum shot back with facts of her own.
“Actually I’m pretty sure this trailer that we filmed 6 months ago shows exactly WHY I’m where I am right now and it’s NOT a promo for any show, this is my LIFE!!!,” she wrote. “Enough with that!!!!”
Since Brittany and Jax shared the news of their split, sources revealed that Bravo planned to resume filming to capture the aftermath. This is gonna be messy.
It’ll all play out in the first season of The Valley, airing on Bravo on March 19.
