Unfortunately, legal trouble isn’t new for NeNe Leake’s oldest son, Bryson Bryant. On Real Housewives of Atlanta, we watched her confront him after being arrested for stealing razors from Walmart. He’s been sued for unpaid child support, arrested for a scheme to print fake checks, and busted for a DUI. In his latest criminal cast, he claims he’s innocent.
Back in July 2023, Bryson was arrested for “loitering/prowling” around a home in Georgia. He claimed he knew the people who lived there, but that turned out to be false. When the police searched him, they reportedly found fentanyl in plain sight. According to Daily Mail, Bryson and his legal team just pleaded not guilty.
Innocent until proven guilty
Keep in mind, when Bryson was arrested last summer, he allegedly evaded the police. The cops also said he gave them fake information, claiming he was Brentt Leakes, his brother. Since he was on probation at the time, he was probably trying to avoid getting into even more trouble. Obviously, that didn’t work.
From an outsider’s perspective, this case probably seems pretty straightforward. When someone gets busted with drugs, they get in trouble. However, Bryson and his legal team had a ton of demands for the prosecution leading up to this non-guilty plea. They wanted them to turn over a list of witnesses that might be called in the case. They also demanded written copies of his Bryan’ts statements made during a police-recorded questioning session.
Bryson already spent three months behind bars for this case while he waited for bond money. His legal team is trying everything they can to keep him from spending more time in jail. We’ll be anxiously awaiting to see if they have any luck with that effort.
