There are always two sides to every story. When it comes to Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, it really doesn’t matter how many sides you hear. None of it makes sense. That’s certainly the case with the latest drama between Robyn Dixon and Candiace Dillard Bassett.
During RHOP Season 8 Episode 16, Candiace revealed that part of their ongoing feud stems back to an incident where Robyn sent a screenshot of their text messages to a blogger.
Robyn owned up to being in cahoots with the blogger, but on Watch What Happens Live, she said she had a valid reason to do it. According to her, it was actually Chris Bassett who went to the blogger first! The plot thickens.

Of course, we know that Chris has been super busy over the last year teaching people how to make nachos on Instagram Live, but Robyn claimed he somehow found the time in his busy schedule to communicate with this random blogger. The blogger remained nameless, but Robyn said she only sent the messages between her and Candiace to refute something Chris had already said.
“He was a mutual supporter of Candiace and I,” Robyn explained. “And he was really hurt to see our friendship go to pits. So he’d be in communication with Chris Bassett who told him that I left her on read, pretty much.”
Robyn said she sent the texts to show her side of the story. She didn’t want the blogger to think it was her fault that she Candiace fell out. Robyn continued, “It was just to explain why Candiace claims she went to Twitter instead of just talking to me.”
The whole time Robyn was explaining this, Andy Cohen looked at her like she was speaking a different language. He couldn’t even pretend to seem interested in this ridiculous storyline. It’s hard to blame him.
Robyn’s odd explanation has created more questions for us. Why are any of the Housewives chit-chatting with bloggers about their on-screen drama? And why is Chris getting involved in women’s business? He needs to follow the advice of the wise philosopher NeNe Leakes, who famously said, “This what you need to do: you need to stay out of women’s business.”
Whether we like it or not, The Real Housewives of Potomac continues on Bravo, Sunday nights at 8/7c.
