Two weeks after announcing that she and Jax Taylor were taking some space from each other, Brittany Cartwright is sharing details on what prompted the move to separate.
The Vanderpump Rules alum is also doing PR for her new reality TV show, The Valley. Brittany is starring alongside her husband, as well as Kristen Doute. So she’s got the platform to keep fans informed on the current status of the relationship.
Brittany alludes to a “roommate-type situation”
On a recent episode of the Pump Rules After Show, Brittany admitted to feeling empathy towards Ariana Madix’s situation in the months before Scandoval surfaced. She was asked to comment on the theory that Ariana and Tom Sandoval were over even before his affair with Rachel Leviss began.
“I can kind of get how you get into this, like, friendship, like, roommate-type situation and then you just feel like you are kind of stuck a little bit — not that I am — but like I feel that way sometimes if me and Jax are going through our hard times,” the Kentucky native explained.
The uncertainties must be “very hard” to navigate, as well as to keep a focus on the positive.
“Am I going to lose all this stuff that I’ve built? Am I, you know, going to be OK?” Brittany added.
Comparing her situation to Ariana’s, The Valley star said, “It can be very scary [and] very hard so I understand, honestly.”
Some fans have questioned the authenticity of their split, suggesting that it was orchestrated as a PR stunt to garner interest in The Valley. The VPR alums recently appeared together for a prior professional engagement in Kentucky as well.
They wed in June 2019. Jax and Brittany share son Cruz Michael Cauchi, who was born in April 2021.
The Valley premieres March 20 at 9/8c on Bravo, following Vanderpump Rules at 8/7c.
