Ariana Madix’s star is on the rise post her split from Tom Sandoval. His affair with Rachel Leviss rocked the cast of Vanderpump Rules in Season 10. Ever since, we’ve watched Tom pretty much spiral downwards, digging into his gross deflection and rehashing of past events mode. As for Ariana, she’s moving forward, only mentioning the Scandoval of it all when asked.
Before this affair, VPR was on its last leg. When this storyline dropped, this series had a comeback like nothing we’ve ever seen before on Bravo. Seriously, it is highly unlikely that the ratings on Vanderpump Rules Season 10 will ever be topped. That is, unless another massive, dirty narrative gets unearthed amongst this cast.
Honestly, this could be the perfect time for Ariana to make her exit from this series. There’s just so many other other opportunities that have come her way as of late. Plus, having to film alongside the woe-is-me worm sucks, so why on earth would she even want to stay at this point, amiright? For many reasons, Ariana should leave VPR, even if this series is granted another round via a Season 12.
Ariana Should Leave on a High
Ariana is currently the number one girl in this group. She’s been through a lot as of late, and she’s handling it all pretty well. Due to this, many of the viewers have run over to stand on her side. However, in an online comment, Ariana responded to a viewer’s prediction, which was that people would “hate Ariana” and “develop a soft spot for Tom” during Season 11.
On this prediction, Ariana commented “certainly wouldn’t be surprised if the audience swings that way.” While we seriously doubt that this will be the case, Ariana’s response does hold some weight. In the world of reality television, this week’s star could very well be the following week’s schmuck. As Ariana is currently on a massive high on VPR, she should walk away now, post Season 11, because it’s only a matter of time before this pendulum starts swinging.
Ariana’s Creative Opportunities Are Mounting
In the trailer for Season 11, Lala Kent is heard lamenting about Ariana’s current successes. “I have never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly becomes God,” Lala stresses. Honestly, Lala’s statement isn’t too far off from the truth. Doors have indeed opened up like crazy for Ariana post her split from that one guy.
To start, several well-known brands hired Ariana to promote their products. These include Bic Razors, SoFi, a sex toy company, Duracell, JoyBurst, Uber One, Raising Canes, Truly, and even Bloomingdales. In addition, Ariana wrote Single AF Cocktails. This is her second cocktails-inspired book, but this one does not include the “dude…like…man…like, dude” guy, so, win.
Oh and hey, no big deal, but Ariana also placed third on Dancing with the Stars. The coolest realized dream though came from the revelation that she had been cast as Roxie in Chicago. From broken to Broadway, Ariana’s creative opportunities just keep rolling in. As no one can stay on the cast of VPR forever, it makes sense for Ariana to exit now, allowing her this heightened season of yasss to move on, while these bigger and better opportunities still exist.
Ariana’s Future Storylines Are Uncertain
We all know that a large portion of Season 11 will continue to show Ariana moving forward from that Taint, but this isn’t a storyline that can exist forever. So, what other storylines might Ariana have, once this season ends? As her new man lives in NYC, her love life won’t be the answer. Also, as her ex is someone that she still refuses to film with, that storyline looks a bit like a no as well.
We’ll say it again. It’s better to leave now, while your main storyline shows you as being the winner of your series, than to stay on for Season 12, and watch your storyline(s) sink.
SAH Could Create a Fun Business Spin-off for Ariana
Let’s face it. The cast of Vanderpump Rules has aged out of the service industry. Some of these stars have also grown up and matured, forging ahead with businesses, families, and further creative ventures. And then there’s the Toms…
Ariana and Katie Maloney dodged so many bullets when they dropped those duds. But on this same note, this series has quickly grown into a weird hodgepodge of life stages, and things aren’t running as smoothly as they once did. It would therefore make so much more sense for the network to now create another VPR spinoff. This one could be centered around Ariana and Katie’s sandwich shop, and their lives post the T’s.
We’d much rather watch Ariana shine than watch her suffer, filming next to her ex. For all of these reasons, Ariana should consider walking away, if this series receives a Season 12, that is.
