Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. Shares Traitors Pay Secrets

The Bachelor alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. recently spoke about his experience on Peacock’s beloved series The Traitors

Following an exceptional season of backstabbing, betrayal, and murder, the Season 1 contestant took to his Instagram to answer a few fan questions. In one post, he shared that he was hardly “paid anything,” revealing some cast members only got “$1,000.”

He added another statement, saying the reported “Season 2 cast pay was in the triple figures.”

Has Arie spoken to fellow Traitor Cirie Fields since Season 1?

Arie also shared a few other unknown “secrets” with his social media followers. In response to a question about where the players sleep, Arie confirmed what we already knew: “Cast stayed in a hotel, not the castle.”

Another surprising revelation was that the first episode of the show’s freshman season had to be reshot. This was due to cast changes.

“COVID eliminated two cast members and we had to reshoot the entire first episode,” he explained. “Original episode we came in on a train (same train from Harry Potter) but they had to cut it all because of the cast member who got sick and [they were] in too many of the shots.”

Although Arie began Season 1 of The Traitors as a Faithful player, the heartbreaker was quickly recruited to be a Traitor. During the fire of truth ceremony in the finale, former Survivor player Cirie Fields chose to banish again. This led Arie to quit

When a fan asked if they had spoken following their reunion, he replied, “That’s a no.”

“She won it in a dirty way in my opinion but she has to live with that and that’s all I’ll really say.”

Maybe Arie, Mercedes “MJ” Javid, and Phaedra Parks have a glowing friendship somewhere in their future.
