Dr. Terry Dubrow, as a renowned plastic surgeon and reality TV star, has commented on Ozempic use in the past. Both in regards to himself, and to his patients.
Interestingly, the Botched star has not always spoken positively about the Type 2 diabetes drug, but it seems that the Bravolebrity is coming around. And after trying out the drug with negative outcomes, Terry is interested in giving Ozempic another shot.
Terry wanted to enjoy a “food vacation” before going back on Ozempic
On Thursday, Terry exclusively told E! News his plans for a round two.
“I’m off it, but I plan on going back on it when it’s appropriate,” he said at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.
“Like, we have a vacation, and after that, I’ll come back. It’s like the new Botox, Ozempic. I love it. It’s so good,” Terry added.
Since going off Ozempic before the holidays, the Botched star complained about getting “overweight and chubby” and is hoping to regain a more svelte physique.
It’s the lesser of two issues. Terry complained about a loss of appetite while on Ozempic, which is meant to lower blood sugar. But that’s how you get the sought-after results. And the reality TV star called it a “miracle” drug and “the biggest breakthrough in medical history.”
“I thought, ‘You know what? I kind of want to get my appetite back. The holidays are coming; I want to enjoy myself,’” he explained.
However, it just wasn’t the right time for Terry. He said, “You go on vacation, maybe you don’t exercise, you eat too much. It was kind of like, ‘Well, I want to go on a food vacation,’ meaning I want to be able to eat again.”
Perhaps the second time around will be a charm. Meanwhile, Terry’s wife, Heather Dubrow, thinks another round of Ozempic use is “silly.” She does not take Ozempic and was happy when the Botched star stopped using it.
“Thank god he’s off Ozempic! He wouldn’t have fun, he wouldn’t eat bread. There was no pasta,” she shared with E! News.
