Now that The Valley has aired on Bravo, viewers are hoping to get a better understanding of Jax Taylor’s issues with Luke Broderick.
The Vanderpump Rules OG made it clear during the premiere episode that he’s no fan of Kristen Doute’s boyfriend, Luke. While the boys were out grabbing a few brews and playing indoor virtual golf, Luke asked the House of Villains star if he would unblock him on Instagram.
“Are you blocked?” Jax asked, to which Luke replied, “I don’t know. I was at one point.” Jax continued: “You tell me. Let’s see if you are and let me know, and I’ll do my best to unblock you.” Although the root of their problems wasn’t made clear during their outing, it was made clear later in the episode.
Jax doesn’t think Luke and Kristen are ready to become parents
Kristen hasn’t been shy about her desire to have a baby. We’ve already seen her and Luke speak about their plans during Episode 1 of The Valley. During Luke’s hangout session with Jax and fellow co-stars Jesse Lally and Jason Caperna, they questioned him about becoming parents with Kristen.
“We just want to make sure that she’s OK having a kid out of wedlock,” Jax told him. “There’s things that happen.” Are we in the early 1900s?
Later, Jax spoke about the challenges many of Brittany’s friends who are single parents have faced, including balancing their social lives around their children.
In a separate clip, Brittany Cartwright talked to some of her friends about the tension between Luke, Kristen, and Jax.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m in the middle of all the crap between the Jax-Kristen-Luke situation,” she said. “Jax really was acting like Luke didn’t even exist if he was around. Like, [he] was very rude whenever we went to Mexico for [Scheana Shay’s] wedding; they were not getting along whatsoever.”
But could it be stemming from something else?
“She had just broken up with her ex-boyfriend, and she was so emotional that it was kind of like, “Oh whoa, you’re already in a new relationship,’” Brittany said. She added it was “very Kristen to do.”
