Thank goodness for Blue Eyes the driver because Karen Huger is about to need his services a whole lot more. The word on the street is that her license got suspended after her DUI car accident.
In case you missed it, The Grande Dame of The Real Housewives of Potomac crashed her Maserati the other night, blaming it on the fact that she was crying behind the wheel. The cops found out that she had one too Fireballs before getting behind the wheel and now, according to Radar Online, her driving privileges have been temporarily revoked.
Karen’s huge mistake
The outlet spoke directly to the Montgomery County Police Department, who spilled all the tea on Karen’s arrest. She refused a breathalyzer test on the scene. As a result, her license was automatically suspended.
“The driver, Karen Huger, was taken into custody and transported to the 2nd District station in Bethesda, where she was arrested and cited for driving under the influence. She was then released,” the police department said in a statement.
The cops explained that she was never actually thrown into a jail cell, but she was slapped with six citations. She’ll have to appear in court later this year, where she’ll learn her punishment for driving under the influence. Her license could be suspended for up to 270 days.
After the crash, Karen blamed everything on her emotional state. She said she had dinner with a friend, and they talked about their moms, which made Karen emotional. She shared a heartfelt statement about what went down.
Karen explained, “Last night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on my way home and saw a car heading right for me. I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree.”
She went on to urge her followers to check their emotional state before getting behind the wheel. Clearly, you also need to consider how many drinks you had at dinner. Drinking and driving is never okay.
