It’s finally happening people. Kyle Richards is no longer shying away from the “D” word. She has now hired lawyers to officially begin the divorce process from Mauricio Umansky.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars have been on a long journey to get here, a journey that was only barely showcased on the Bravo show. However, there might be more to be had in their Netflix show, Buying Beverly Hills.
Regardless, even though a lot of information remains unknown to fans, things have been bubbling under the surface. Read on to see what there is to know about Kyle’s planned divorce.
Kyle is ready but Mauricio “doesn’t want the divorce”
“Kyle finally pulled the trigger, and hasn’t looked back,” a source close to Kyle told Life & Style. “She needed to move on.” According to the source, one of Kyle’s motivating factors in this decision was the desire to have her sister, Kathy Hilton, back in her life.
“Kathy and her husband, [Rick Hilton], have carried a lot of animosity toward Mauricio.” Life & Style cited Mauricio’s work as the major reason for the animosity. Mau worked at Rick’s real estate company before leaving to start his firm in 2011.
The source went on, “There will be some real healing happening in Kyle and Kathy’s relationship with Mauricio finally out of the picture.” Despite the peace that Kyle is hoping to find, Mauricio reportedly won’t give up on the marriage without a fight.
“He doesn’t want the divorce,” the insider revealed. “He would love to stop it, but he knows that might not be possible at this point.” If Mo truly wanted to avoid a divorce, he probably should have considered doing something more drastic a while ago.
Of course, this is still a developing situation as far as we know. There will likely be more to report in the coming days and weeks.
