It sounds like there are no hard feelings between Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s brother Jeremy Madix.
Last week, the Vanderpump Rules fanbase felt confused as hell when a clip surfaced of Tom giving Jeremy a big hug. They were both attending a premiere party for The Valley. In the clip, you see that Sandoval was the one who initiated the hug, but it still seemed odd.
There were fans on social who were pretty annoyed with the whole thing. Imagine Ariana was your sister. Would you be hugging the dude who brazenly cheated on her and broke her heart into a million pieces? Probably not. However, Jeremy recently appeared on the Pump Rules Podcast to explain what was going on in his head during that moment. He kept it classy, which isn’t something we normally say when talking about VPR.

Keep in mind, this podcast episode was recorded at the premiere party. The hosts got Jeremy’s reaction to the Sandoval hug just moments after it happened. The smell of Sandoval’s breath was probably still lingering in the air.
Initially, Jeremy tried to shrug off the hug, saying the whole situation with Sandoval was “water under the bridge.” Then, as he kept reflecting on the situation, he got a little bit more candid about his current feelings toward Sandoval, a year after the breakup.
“Obviously, me and him need to have a conversation,” Jeremy explained. “There are a lot of things left unsaid that I never got to say.”
Jeremy reminded everyone how he used to live with Tom and Ariana, so Scandoval directly impacted him. He considered Tom to be one of his friends. That’s no longer the case.
“I lost someone that was a mutual relationship of love,” Jeremy explained. “Obviously, I’m always going to stand by my sister.”
Jeremy said he’s hopeful he can have a conversation with Tom about the breakup. He also hopes to talk to Ariana, who he said he hasn’t heard from in months. When she finds out he hugged Tom, he might not hear from her for a few more months. Jeremy didn’t seem too worried either way.
He shared, “We’ll just keep on keeping on, and we’ll deal with the punches as they come in.”
