West Wilson is the Summer House Season 8 break-out star. What’s not to like about the down-to-earth fellow from Missouri? He’s quickly become a fan favorite for his sense of humor and laid-back personality.
West quickly caught the eye of veteran Bravolebrity, Ciara Miller. Despite being drawn to the cattle rancher’s son, she proceeded with an abundance of caution. After some of her other televised romances, who could blame the professional model?
The duo did end up going on a few dates in between filming Summer House on the weekends. And with a similar sense of humor, joked about how tame their flirtations and physical contact had been up to that point.
Sharing a tent “felt very intuitive”
But in the most recent episode, a cast camping event gave the flirtatious couple a chance to get a little bit closer. Danielle Olivera hosted a camping party in the Summer House backyard. Wes and Ciara ended up sharing a tent, but the evening was cut short by a storm, which forced the cast to retreat indoors.
During an interview with Decider.com, West was asked why camping “was a good first step” to spend an evening together privately.
“In the house, we each have our own rooms, but outside that’s not the case and it just felt very natural throughout the night,” the Summer House newbie replied. “We’d been sitting [and] eating dinner together in the same chair for the last like four hours, so getting in the same tent felt very intuitive. And yeah, it was just kind of a nice little neutral way to get a sleepover under our belts.”
He added, “But then it stormed, so it got cut short a little bit, unfortunately.”
Smitten West also told the news publication what it was that drew him to Ciara.
“I think Ciara is very authentic to who she is,” West explained. Additionally, “I feel like everything she said was truly her opinion and her own thoughts. She never sounds rehearsed or produced. I just like that everything she felt and said felt very genuine and original and I like that about people.”
