Jill Zarin Says ‘Never Ever’ To Potential Real Housewives Return

The Real Housewives of New York OG, Jill Zarin, has declared that she will never return to a specific type of reality television program.

The Bravo player recently paid Kelly Dodd and Rick Leventhal a visit on their show, The Rick and Kelly Show, and discussed whether she’d return to the franchise that made her a star. “I will never do gotcha TV again, EVER,” she said. “People say, ‘You will go back to Housewives.’ Never ever.”

“I will say it right here, exclusive: I will never do gotcha TV again – I call it gotcha TV.” Jill clarified when Kelly, formerly of The Real Housewives of Orange County, asked what she meant. “Meaning like, they got ya – it happened to you and me all the time. You’d feel like you were set up.”

Jill soured her relationship with Bravo while negotiating RHONY: Legacy pay

Before Jill’s latest claims, the reality star was known among her Bravo colleagues, and even Andy Cohen, as the “thirstiest” ex-Housewife. During an earlier episode of his late-night show, Watch What Happens Live, the figurehead applauded Taylor Armstrong for being the first Housewife to cross cities. He took it a step further and poked fun at Jill, too.

“In unrelated news, Jill Zarin is closing on new homes in Potomac, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Atlanta, Miami, Dubai, and Salt Lake City,” he said before saying, “Just kidding, love you, Jill.”

Also, news broke that NBC would overhaul the original cast of RHONY to bring in a fresh, more diverse group of women for Season 14. The OGs would star in their own series, Legacy. However, that ship sailed after reports hinted that Jill wanted more than they would pay her.

“[Jill] pushing for a big payday was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” a source close to production said. However, an insider close to Jill denied the claims, saying Jill was pushing for fairness.

“It wasn’t about the money. Jill just wanted all the women to be paid the same. They started at the same time,” the insider said. “They built the show together. She felt they should be paid the same. She would have done it for $1, as long as everyone was getting paid the same.”

You can stream previous seasons of RHONY on Peacock.
