Once the reboot of The Real Housewives of New York City delivered, talk turned to who would return for Season 15. Jenna Lyons was the stylish and delightful housewife we didn’t know we needed. But there were rumblings that Jenna was a one-and-done. The reason? She wanted to keep her relationship strictly off-camera.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Jenna what she felt was the “thorn” of her season. “I mean, the whole show,” Jenna stated. Kudos to Andy for not fainting.
And when Jenna wasn’t at BravoCon 2023, it sparked more speculation. In November 2023, Jenna opened up about what factored into her decision about a RHONY return. “I also am in a relationship now and I have to take that into consideration,” Jenna explained. “So, I have some thinking to do.”
Jenna is coming back … on her terms
Bravo announced in a cute video that the entire cast was returning for Season 15. So, how will that affect Jenna’s love life? She is currently dating girlfriend Cass Bird.
“I have a relationship, but I would like to not name her,” Jenna told The New York Times. “I want to keep her out of the press. That is my commitment to her.” She continued, “It’s off the table. I joined this process. She did not.”
Jenna was asked if she expected friction with her RHONY costars for not sharing that part of her life. “Yeah, I do. I don’t care what anybody else says,” she stated. I’m sure her cast members will feel salty about this issue.
Then Jenna mentioned a positive “side effect of the show.” She continued, “What is consistently surprising to me, and such a tender moment,” Jenna explained, “is the number of people that either DM or come up to me on the street and are like, ‘It’s amazing to see an openly gay woman on national television being themselves.'” Finally!
Personally, I am just thrilled that the entire cast is returning.
