The allegations against Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Richard, continue to get more and more disturbing. After Christian was arrested for domestic violence earlier this month, Christine filed a request for a temporary restraining order. Her court filing illustrated an alarming pattern of behavior before Christian’s arrest.
In the court docs, Christine claimed that Christian threw dog poop at her during a previous argument. This was weeks before the incident that led to his arrest. Then, according to Us Weekly, Christine described an encounter with Christian in 2023 where he faked a suicide attempt. She claimed it was all a scheme to try to test her love.
A fake overdose in Hungary
Christine explained that she flew from Paris to Hungary to meet up with Christian. She said that once they got together, they got into a fight. That’s when he allegedly faked a suicide attempt to try to test Christine’s love.
“[Christian] became angry at me, questioning why I needed to work, asserting that he was providing for everything,” Christine explained in the court documents.
She continued, “That night, in our hotel room, I watched [Christian] pour handfuls of pills [and] appear to shove them into his mouth, with pills flying out of his hands and spilling on the floor, and then tell me he was dying.”
When Christine asked what she should do, he simply replied, “Just stay with me.”
Naturally, Christine said her next move was to try to figure out what pills he took. She said she was “terrified” and was trying to help in any way she could. Allegedly, Christian told her that he “took many other pills that day,” making it impossible for her to figure out how to help.
Christine continued, “After what felt like an hour of [Christian] falling in and out of consciousness and me being terrified, he suddenly appeared sober again and said, ‘You passed the test, you really do love me.’”
In the court documents, Christine explained how that situation changed the dynamic of their relationship forever. She said she was “afraid” of what he could possibly do next. Fast forward to this month, and he allegedly threw a bag with glass in it at Christine. It missed and struck their toddler, which led to him being arrested.
As Christine presents these disturbing allegations against Christian, he has asked the courts for a restraining order of his own. In his court docs, he alleged that Christine was lying about his violent behavior. He claimed she has been trying to embarrass him and get the upper hand in a potential divorce.
