Tom Sandoval has definitely proved one thing during Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules — he’s not the best boss. We’ve seen the dynamic between him and his assistant Ann Maddox on the show that’s quite questionable. Ann is essentially the middle person to Tom and Ariana Madix while they cohabitate, which is the worst place to be. Seriously, justice for Ann.
Ann no longer works with Sandoval as of the present day. We saw her interview to be Ariana’s assistant during a recent episode, but we’re not sure what path her career took after being Sandoval’s right-hand woman. At least she’s not picking up his dirty underwear or cleaning up after his sexy singles pool parties anymore.
Ann had a lot to say about working for Sandoval
Ann recently provided insight as to what being Sandoval’s assistant is like in an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. In general, she said that Sandoval and Ariana’s house was “a stressful work environment.” I think we all saw that on full display on Pump Rules.
However, she did claim to “love” the job “at times,” which sounds like a pleasantry. Ann teased that VPR fans will learn about her new place of employment soon on the show. “I am very excited about it,” Ann said. “I can’t quite share with you what that is yet, but keep watching the show to find out!” Sounds like she might’ve landed the job working for Ariana, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Ann also addressed interviewing for other jobs while still being employed by Tom. In general, she thought it was pretty normal to line up a new job before quitting a current gig. “I’ve been told in the state of California, you can’t collect unemployment if you quit your job. Los Angeles is pretty expensive,” Ann said. “I don’t have parents to lean on like a lot of people do. My dad passed away and I have an estranged relationship with my mother who lives in Japan. I don’t have a backup plan. If I don’t pay rent I can’t just ‘go home.'” Truly, we hope for nothing but the best for Ann. At least she will always have a wild story to tell of being Sandoval’s post-Scandoval assistant.
