After failing to find happily ever after on reality TV, Love Is Blind alum Natalie Lee has an emergency plan with Blake Moynes from Bachelor Nation. Both of them have been unlucky at love, but Natalie recently revealed they have a pact to get married and have kids together if they don’t find their soulmates by age 35.
Natalie opened up about the hilarious pact during an episode of her podcast, Out of the Pods. Natalie is 32. Blake is 33. You can do the math. The clock is ticking on this plan!
Natalie and Blake are willing to settle
Blake was a guest on the podcast when he chatted with Natalie about their little agreement. He also noted how 35 was coming up quickly. Natalie realized she might have to wait until 37. Either way, they don’t have much time.
“I don’t think we’ve ever talked about it, but Blake and I have a marriage pact,” Natalie spilled on the pod. “So, if I am not married by age 35, we said that we would have kids and get married.”
Of course, Natalie famously got engaged on Love Is Blind Season 2 but left her fiance at the altar. Blake appeared on two seasons of The Bachelorette. He wound up engaged to Katie Thurston on his second attempt, but they fizzled out off-camera.
After failing at reality TV romance, Natalie and Blake’s agents set them up. They explained how they had a brief fling after going on an animal conservation trip in the Caribbean. Apparently, those are the types of activities you get to do after short-lived reality TV fame.
“I had never been on an animal conservation trip before and then I didn’t know [Blake] like I didn’t watch any of the seasons of The Bachelorette that you were on,” Natalie recalled.
She continued, “I had heard things about you through social media. I mean, like, good things … but I was like, ‘I don’t know, this is kind of weird that I’m going with him.’”
On the podcast, Blake and Natalie gushed over their friendship. They share a sense of humor and seem to have a pretty natural connection. Blake said it only took one conversation to feel the chemistry.
Although they had all of the ingredients for romance, Natalie and Blake’s little situation never amounted to anything serious. They remained good friends. Then, somewhere along the line, they decided that they would settle for each other if nothing else panned out.
