Kyle’s separation has involved rumors of a lesbian relationship with a country singer. On the surface, the situations are not similar at all. Still, on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Erika tried her best to draw a comparison between the two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills breakups.
Is Erika comparing apples to oranges?
According to Erika, no one knows what it’s like to be on a reality show except for the people who are living it. As much as we love to tease our favorite reality stars, Erika said that it’s tougher than it looks because there’s no way to get away from the constant pressure. The RHOBH star said she can empathize with Kyle having to navigate questions about her marital issues.
On the podcast, Erika described one of her “lowest times” amid her marital scandal. She said she was picking up her antidepressant prescription at CVS and saw her face on the cover of a magazine. The headline asked, “How did she blow $25 million?”
Of course, that’s a valid question, but at the time, Erika felt rattled by how massive the story had become. She noted how Kyle is going through the same thing right now. You know she’s probably walking through CVS and seeing headlines asking, “Who is Morgan Wade?”
“It’s like what Kyle is going through now – this is happening you guys,” Erika noted. “Sh-t is, I remember just being cornered in a f-cking ugly stairwell and just being asked all these questions on my day off just trying to go to the grocery store. It just doesn’t feel good.”
Although the details of Erika and Kyle’s separation are wildly different, Erika said she can empathize with the pressure Kyle is feeling right now. Reality TV is all fun and games until it gets a little too real.
