We’ve all been struggling to make sense of the animosity between Lala Kent and Ariana Madix this season on Vanderpump Rules. Is it jealousy? Is there something that the cameras missed? According to Scheana Shay, everything will make sense after the reunion.
Scheana recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live alongside her hubby Brock Davies. The two fielded questions about Season 11 of VPR. When Andy Cohen asked about the weirdness between Lala and Ariana, Scheana had a surprising amount of empathy.
It’s all happening at the reunion
After the Season 11 VPR reunion was filmed, rumors started swirling about a fight between Lala and Ariana. Some sources said that Ariana “eviscerated” Lala at the reunion in a friendship-ruining argument. Others said that it was the other way around.
Regardless of who eviscerated who, there’s clearly some big trouble on the horizon for this friendship. Scheana seems to be unapologetically on Lala’s side. On WWHL, Andy asked Scheana how she felt seeing Lala talking about her “best friend Ariana so poorly.” Scheana seemed unfazed by it.
“Here’s the thing, I understand Lala’s frustration, and I will say that, on the contrary, Lala has said a lot of things about me recently that I really appreciate, and I think she is loyal as hell, and she’s an incredible friend,” Scheana replied.
The Pump Rules star continued, “So, I understand her frustration, and I think after the reunion and finale airs, everyone will understand as well.”
What exactly happened at the reunion?
So, it sounds like the tables have officially turned on Ariana. In an interview with Page Six, Lisa Vanderpump shed more light on what exactly Lala and Ariana were fighting over at the reunion. She hinted that Ariana was frustrated with Lala feeling sympathetic for Tom Sandoval and his mental health struggles post-Scandoval.
“When we jumped into that, there was a lot of heightened feelings,” LVP explained.
Despite how bleak things seem to be right now between Ariana and Lala, LVP said she felt confident that the friendship could be salvaged. After all, they need something to talk about in Season 12.
“This group is very outspoken but also pretty forgiving if you think [about] what we’ve been through,” Lisa noted.
