Like all Golden Bachelor fans, Nick Viall needs to know more about the divorce announcement from Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. And the former Bachelor is ready to offer a microphone to one of the estranged stars.
On April 12, we reported on the news of the divorce. “Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, and so forth, and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Gerry told the press.
Despite their decision, Gerry and Theresa maintained that they loved each other. Even though news of the split wasn’t entirely unexpected, there was still a sense of shock. Many fans are begging for more details, including Nick.
Nick wants Theresa on The Viall Files
On April 15, PEOPLE shared snippets of their conversation with Nick regarding the Golden divorce. With multiple layers of shock, Nick began, “I think what shocked me the most is this wasn’t just a normal breakup or an end of an engagement, this was a divorce announcement.”
He further explained, “It doesn’t require lawyers to get out of an engagement. It does require lawyers to get out of a marriage, and I’m really curious what changed with Gerry and Theresa that made them so sure to sign up a marriage license, but now only to get a divorce.”
He went on, “I feel like maybe there’s more to the story that we’re not hearing.” Nick added that he would be happy to host Theresa on his podcast to get her side of the story. “Maybe Gerry’s not as golden as we hoped he would be,” he said, further suggesting that Theresa’s story would be more interesting than Gerry’s.
