Getting Jo Wenberg’s perspective on the situationship she had with Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz was very raw. After deciding to end their interactions, Jo became very emotional and left his apartment in tears. Right now, she and Schwartz aren’t speaking.
One had to feel for her, it seems that the hair dresser was led on by the VPR star. Interestingly, Schwartz’s ex-wife, Katie Maloney, had a similar takeaway after hearing Jo’s side of the story.
Katie calls Jo’s perspective “eye-opening”
Katie shared her opinion on how Schwartz treated Jo during an exlusive interview with Us Weekly.
“I don’t think any of us really knew what was truly going on with the two of them because we were getting a very different version or really no information from Tom about what was happening,” she said.
The only reason Katie even knew about Jo was after she found her things at his apartment. It was only in February 2023 that the VPR star confirmed that Jo was his roommate. The duo were linked to each other two months prior.
“Seeing their dynamic and seeing how they were together and getting kind of Jo’s perspective on the whole thing was very eye-opening,” Katie explained. “And I kind of did feel for her because he was giving her the runaround and bread crumbing her a bit. It made me feel a little sad because she did have an investment in him and real feelings there.”
“I think I told him it was a bit of a F-Boy behavior,” she added.
Co-stars were getting conflicting information
Scheana Shay confirmed that she took received conflicting info as to what Schwartz and Jo were to each other.
“I had been hearing things through a mutual friend that Jo and I have of the things that Schwartz was saying to her,” she said. “And so then when I would question him about it, I’m like, ‘One of you is lying because I’m getting two completely different stories here.’”
“Watching it play out and having her at the reunion and hearing a little more of her perspective, Scheana added. “I definitely felt for her.”
As for Tom’s new girlfriend, Sophia Skoro, Katie is a fan.
“I want him to be with somebody that makes him happy and is good for him and is a positive person and influence in his life,” she said.
