James Kennedy is proud to declare himself the No. 1 Guy in the Group on Vanderpump Rules these days. To be fair, look at who he’s competing with — it’s not hard to come out on top. Everyone has been loving James in 2024. He’s found love (again) with Ally Lewber, his DJ career is more successful than ever and sobriety looks amazing on him. One person who will seemingly never be a fan of James is one of his ex-girlfriends — Kristen Doute. Those negative feelings extend to her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, too.
Kristen has a new life on reality TV thanks to The Valley. We see her settling into adulthood with her new man, with some of the same old drama still haunting her. Kristen revised her roots in a recent episode of her and Luke’s podcast “Balancing Act” by recapping a recent Pump Rules episode. The couple couldn’t hold back on some choice words for James’ behavior on the show.
Kristen and Luke don’t feel bad for James
James and Ally had a conversation about the future of their relationship in the latest VPR episode. He ended up having an emotional response to Ally saying she wasn’t sure if marriage or kids were in her future. Apparently, Kristen and Luke thought it was all an act.
Kristen didn’t shy away from sharing her feelings on the scene. “I just didn’t feel bad for him at all,” she said. “How many lives have you ruined? Is that what you mean by what you’ve been through, James?”
Luke went as far as to say he has “zero empathy” for James in the situation. “When he said, ‘With everything I’ve been through, I can’t imagine starting over.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re f*cking younger than me.’ And what have you been through? Like come on. You’ve been through a breakup,” Luke said.
It is refreshing to see Kristen in a relationship with someone who actually stands up for her. However, the comments about the latest Pump Rules episode were definitely unprovoked.
