Welcome back to the Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 14 recap. Last time, Sandoval brought up Scheana’s past with a married man. This week’s episode, titled “For Old Tom’s Sake,” features the gang heading to San Francisco. Here’s everything that you need to know about Pump Rules, Season 11, Episode 14!
Something about this sandwich shop
Katie and Ariana popped by Something About Her. And Ann Maddox, who used to be Sandoval’s assistant, is working for Ariana and Katie. I love this for Ann!
The duo had to demolish their patio and deal with code violations. Lisa popped by to find out when the eatery was opening. Spoiler alert: not anytime soon. Lisa got the low-down from Penny Davidi, but Katie and Ariana were no longer speaking to her. Originally, Penny would be the COO and manage the back of the house.
She wanted a salary and a percentage of the profits. The ladies offered her 10% of the back-end profits. Penny allegedly seemed on board, but then changed her mind. That’s why Katie and Ariana were thinking about parting ways with Penny, which worried Lisa.
An awkward apology
Scheana arrived at Kyle Chan’s jewelry store to prep for her San Francisco performance. Then Sandoval arrived, and Scheana was immediately uncomfortable. Sandoval was helping out as a manager for the show. According to Sandoval, Kyle supported him more during Scandoval than anyone else.
Finally, Kyle sat down with Scheana and Sandoval. He voiced his concerns over the ugly fight at the pool party. Sandoval apologized for bringing up Scheana’s past. He wants everything to be good between them.
“I never forget what a good friend you’ve been to me,” Scheana said tearfully. “You’re the only person who has always had my back from day one.” She explained that she had to choose a side. And Ariana didn’t do anything wrong to hurt Sandoval.
Kyle said that they don’t have to forgive him but don’t “torture” him. Scheana would like to get to a place where they are not bringing up the past.
Give them Lala birthday vibes
It was Lala’s birthday, and she was getting ready with Katie. She decided to call Sandoval to make sure that he knew he wasn’t invited. Oof. Well, Sandoval was still with Scheana when Lala dialed. Sandoval confirmed that he wasn’t showing up.
For her birthday, Lala wished for a positive pregnancy test and an end to her custody battle with her daughter Ocean Kent’s father, Randall Emmett. Oh, and to “rule the world.” As long as Lala is keeping her expectations reasonable.
Some burlesque dancers came out, and Brock looked so uncomfortable. He was raised in the Mormon church until he was 14 years old, so he didn’t know where to look. Scheana thought it was hysterical.
Ariana wasn’t happy about Scheana and Sandoval
Lala asked Scheana why she was with Sandoval when she called. Scheana explained it was about her performance and added that he apologized. When Scheana said that she told Sandoval that she missed him, Ariana had a look of disgust on her face. “Pathetic,” Ariana said as she rolled her eyes.
“What is going on? It honestly makes me feel like I’m being like gaslit or something,” Ariana said in her confessional. “As if what happened wasn’t clear as f*cking day.” She insisted that Sandoval always treated Scheana like dirt and didn’t care about her.
Lala told Scheana that she felt that there would be a time when she and Sandoval could become friends again. “He’s a loser,” Ariana stated. “So annoying.”
Ariana has a dinner date with Daniel
Ariana went on a date with her long-distance boyfriend, Daniel Wai. He was sweet and gentlemanly. You know, the opposite of Ariana’s previous boyfriend.
She felt like long-distance has been good for them because they had to get to know each other by talking. But then there was the drawback of not being together. When Daniel asked who was going to San Francisco, Ariana told him that Sandoval would be there for part of the trip.
Sandoval’s rock and roll fantasy
Schwartz brought Sandoval’s mom, Terri, and Sandoval’s friend Tii up to see Sandoval in the green room. Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras were getting ready to take the stage. Even a solo James showed up.
Schwartz’s former friend, Jo Wenberg, was also in the audience. “I love them. They’re so good,” Jo said during the performance.
Schwartz asked “Joseph” if she wanted to step out for a moment. Jo is coming to San Francisco, and they are looking forward to hanging out. They ended their convo with a hug.
In her confessional, Jo admitted, “Schwartz just gives me whiplash and it’s frustrating.” His behavior is incredibly confusing.
Welcome to San Francisco
Scheana and Brock were the tour directors for this trip. The group will meet up to go on a boat ride. Then, that night is Brock’s Roaring ’20s party. Dan skipped the daytime activities in favor of working out.
As they stood on a chilly pier, Schwartz confessed to Sandoval that he had “seething rage” for quite a while whenever he saw Sandoval. It was all about Schwartz & Sandys.
Now Schwartz has decided to move in with Sandoval. Why would he jeopardize his finances again? Schwartz got down on one knee and presented Sandoval with a pink handcuff keychain to represent a ball and chain. Not a ring on a string?
A wild ride
The group boarded a boat aptly named “Wine Therapy.” James took a spin on a stripper pole as the crew made it rain sprinkle.
The waves were huge, and Ariana was afraid of big waves. It is her one phobia. Meanwhile, Lala likened the choppy trip to being on the Titanic.
After they left the boat, Sandoval approached a sea lion on a dock. “I hope he gets attacked. That would be sick,” Ariana said with a laugh. Tell us how you really feel!
Brock tries to broker peace
Brock asked Ariana if there was ever a chance of speaking with Sandoval for Scheana’s sake.
“The woman who I care about more than anything who he screamed at less than a week ago?” Ariana said. “Yeah. Sorry. No. I care more about her than to allow her to have people in her life that are going to scream at her like that.”
Brock thought forgiveness would allow Ariana to move forward. But Ariana countered that you don’t have to forgive someone who “traumatized” you. You can just leave them behind. Valid point!
The Roaring ’20s
Brock was stoked about dressing up as a gangster. I must say the VPR crew dressed to impress. Lala said that James looked like a “12-year-old newsboy hocking papers near the Titanic.” He did, and I couldn’t stop laughing.
Then someone pointed out that Sandoval and Ariana were wearing similar shoes. Sandoval said, “Great minds…” Crickets!
Ariana looked like she wanted to run. She commented on the Bay Bridge and asked Katie to look at it with her. Afterward, Schwartz joined them. It felt good for him to be able to talk and laugh with Ariana and Katie without it being wrought with tension.
Then, Schwartz decided to hit on his ex-wife. He suggested that they have a one-night stand for old times’ sake. Only, he wants to order junk food, scroll through their phones, and not talk. Just relive the old days. But Katie didn’t want that. This just seems … sad. Katie knows that years from now, Schwartz will finally realize that she was the love of his life.
Scheana has a request for Sandoval
Sandoval asked Scheana to go and check out the view. He will be gone the next day, so Daniel can hang with everyone. Sandoval admitted that he was “always worried about her, you know mentally, with this whole situation.” So, he was glad that Ariana had Daniel. Dude – I just can’t.
Kudos to Scheana for taking the opportunity to ask Sandoval if he could apologize to Ariana for “weaponizing” her mental health. She asked him to think about it. In his confessional, Sandoval said, “Me explaining where I was emotionally and mentally has come across as blaming Ariana. I’m not. I screwed up,” he stated.
Sandoval and Scheana hugged each other, and said, “I love you.” Then Sandoval squeezed one lonely tear out of his eye.
