Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent hasn’t been shy about sharing her concerns about Ariana Madix’s new boyfriend, Daniel Wai. Earlier this season on VPR, Lala questioned Dan’s motives. “Ariana gets a new man, and I’m like, ‘What’s his motive? This is weird,’” Lala stated.
But Ariana is happy with Dan. The couple met at the wedding of Ariana’s friend about 10 days after she broke up with Tom Sandoval. During her stint on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars, Daniel would fly in every week from New York to see her perform before taking the red-eye back. Now that is so sweet and supportive. A completely different vibe from her previous relationship with Sandoval.
But during the Season 11 Pump Rules trip to San Francisco, Lala’s investigation into all things Dan continued. “My first impression of Dan? Let me put it this way, you can tell me he’s a great guy all the live-long day. I think it is f*cking weird that any dude would be like, ‘She’s The One. Just left her dude of 10 f*cking years and they still live together,'” Lala said in her confessional. But Lala wasn’t done. She continued, “I am sorry but something seems off. Right?” But that wasn’t enough to stop Lala from praising Dan’s “good body” while watching him get ready to go out. Pick a lane, Lala.
Ariana sets the record straight
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a virtual fan had a question for Ariana. “How did you feel about Lala saying tonight that it’s weird Dan thinks you’re the one since you got together…days after a 10-year relationship?” the fan asked.
“Well, number one, we did not get together 10 days after a relationship. We met. ‘Hi. Nice to meet you,’ you know? Then that progressed slowly from there,” Ariana explained. “Umm…but… the other part of that sounds like a question for Dan.”
Not missing a beat, Andy chimed in, “Okay. Well, let’s bring him out!” Dan was on set but declined to give his take.
