Danielle Cabral is going into her sophomore season on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and sparks are already flying. The proud Staten Island native is still buddy-buddy with Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin. But we all know their alliance won’t last forever. Viewers were gifted some piping hot tea regarding Season 14. Jen and Danielle will have one hell of an altercation which causes both of them to be paused for a few episodes.
During Season 13, fans saw Danielle become emotional about a few things. But the biggest trigger was her family feud with her brother, Thomas.
The drama
Danielle and her brother have not been on good terms for a few years. During Season 13, followers learned that Danielle is very much like her bestie Tre. The newbie also blames her sister-in-law for her family turmoil. Danielle spent her freshman season being pretty open about the fact she hadn’t spoken to her brother in three years; fans and cast members didn’t buy her take. Originally, Danielle shared that the fallout occurred after she blocked her brother on social media because he was allegedly making fun of her.
However, some of the ladies felt like the newbie was leaving a major piece of the story out. Even Danielle’s mother shared that the sibling drama was eating her up. Telling cameras, but fans were surprised to learn that the matriarch was on the outs with her son, too. Danielle’s mom shared, “It breaks my heart. I’m your mother; I’m his mother. I raised you the best I can with lots of love. Obviously, he’s in some type of pain, but I wish he would talk to me about it. And I’ll respectfully apologize to him if I did anything to hurt him.”

Is there something in the Staten Island water? While her mother was crying, Danielle took to her confessional. Danielle stated, “It’s so funny; you hear all the time that Italian boys love and adore their mom. But he iced her out big time once he realized she was taking my side.” No matter how tough Danielle is trying to be, she is very emotional over the loss of her brother and the relationship she once had.
The mother of two broke down, revealing, “It consumes you when you wish you had a relationship and a life that you once knew. It’s so far gone, and it’s so much hurt, but if my brother called, if that boy ever showed up, yeah. I don’t know where he’s been. Maybe he’s lost somewhere. But if he showed up, yeah.”
No friends or family
The sneak peek for Episode 2 showed Danielle trying to plan an upcoming event with her husband, Nate Cabral. And while Nate successfully dodged being cornered by Teresa’s drama in the premiere, it seems he is still knee-deep in family turmoil. Now, Danielle is on the outs with her father, too. She is seen asking her husband if he will be bringing the kids to his house for a visit. Danielle gave a major update saying, “Me and my mom are doing great, but I stopped talking to my dad because he handled the gift situation with my brother not in the best way.”
During the Season 13 reunion, Danielle revealed, “We sent a gift for the baby — he had a daughter — and they sent the gift back.” Danielle went on to say, “I felt like in that moment, maybe just for one moment, my dad could have said ‘he’s an idiot. I’m sorry he’s doing this to you.’” Danielle went on to say, “But he’s never stood up for me. And while it may be harsh to cut ties on my part, I just need to start protecting myself.” Danielle also still allows her father to see her children and talk to Nate.
There seems to be a very long way to go before Danielle and her family are back on good terms. Thomas did say he would be willing to reconcile under the condition that Danielle undergo a mental evaluation. Everyone knows how siblings can be best of friends and worst of enemies, but with a low blow like that, I don’t see a reconciliation in their future.
