E!’s OMG Fashun now has a fourth winner in Natashia Lunt. She just appeared in Episode 104, called “She Wears the Pants.” Just like in 103, Natashia also filmed wearing her own designs, catching the favor of all three of her judges. It’s always good to start on the right foot with icons like Julia Fox, Law Roach, and Tommy Dorfman, so well done, Nats.

Natashia’s Instagram showcases her beautiful, “responsibly sourced” designs. In addition, her brand is “gender neutral,” which makes her the perfect candidate for this episode. In all, Natashia managed to edge out her fellow Disruptors, taking home the win. Following this, Natashia met up with Reality Tea’s writer Amy DeVore, where she further elaborated on all things OMG Fashun.

Natashia’s first impressions

Amy DeVore: When you first got the call that you’d be filming alongside Julia, Law, and Tommy, how did that make you feel?

Natashia Miyazaki: It made me nervous because Julia Fox is amazing. And also, Law Roach, I’ve been following his career for many, many years. To be able to meet them was like a dream. It doesn’t feel real. I’m still in shock about it.

Amy: I bet. When you arrived, did your dreams match the reality?

Natashia: It definitely exceeded my expectations. I don’t think that you can ever know truly what it feels like until it happens. I feel like I left my body.

The style challenge bust

Amy: For your first challenge, the judges had a lot to say about your design, and you thanked them for their feedback. What was running through your mind in this moment?

Natashia: I felt like I was disassociating. I’ve worked with celebrities in the past, and done custom outfits for them, so I’m used to having those critiques. For me, I kind of agreed with everything they said. It was kind of nice to get that feedback straight away and be able to take it on and apply it to the next challenge.

“She Wears the Pants” with dildos

Amy: Your episode was called “She Wears the Pants,” which is basically your whole vibe with gender-neutral clothing. Were you excited that this is the specific episode that they had matched you up with?

Natashia: Yes, I was over the moon, obviously, because it was so on-brand for me. This felt really authentic, So it really resonated. And then to be able to adapt that style to Julia Fox, who was obviously the client In this challenge, was also really exciting for me too.

Amy: Speaking of adapting, in your materials box were several dildos, which you said caused you to blush. Talk to me about that.

Natashia: I’m English, if you couldn’t tell from my accent [laughs], so I’m a little bit shy. But once I got over the fact that it was embarrassing, I definitely was like okay, how can I think outside the box, no pun intended, from the challenge? I really wanted to figure out a way that it made sense to the outfit, without it seeming like it was an afterthought. First, I was gonna use it as shoulder pads, so that it looked like horns, but the color was hot pink, which would’ve completely messed up my design. I ended up putting it in the pocket, and then stitching around it so that you could see the shape. Then I joked ‘is that a dildo in your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?’

Jockstrap belts and a cut-a-bitch-brooch

Amy: Plot twist, you also had to add in a jockstrap to your final design. When you went out, Law said that he found your placement of this as a belt a bit lazy. Did you agree with that?

Natashia: I mean, I can see what he was saying about it being an easy way to use it. But for me, that was the best way to use it in my design. I wanted to take on their previous critique and not overdo things, and so it just made sense to make a belt.

Amy: Makes sense to me. Julia loved your final design, and Law hysterically called out your cut-a-bitch-brooch that [was] made from the razors. Meanwhile, Tommy said that you were like a warrior and that your branding was top-notch. Thoughts?

Natashia: What I really liked was the fact that they made those correlations without necessarily knowing my brand, you know? It was very validating the fact that I nailed it, it’s my aesthetic, it’s on brand, and they called all those things out. And my labels, I was like, this is such a perfect opportunity to get my brand out there, so of course I’m gonna put my label on it. Like to me, it’s about all the details, you know, it isn’t just about the design, it’s really about the full concept.

Natashia’s big win and future plans

Amy: You talked about how this win would be great for your brand. So, what’s next?

Natashia: I’m currently launching my Spring/Summer ’24 collection, so that’s now live on my website. I’d also love to get some wholesale accounts and actually be stocked in some stores around the world.

Amy: For your winning $10,000, are you going to put that back into your brand?

Natashia: I’m definitely gonna put it straight back in, and hopefully use it to buy more fabrics and develop my next collection.
