Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel knows how to keep her name in the press, and on this, I cannot hate. One month, she might be off saving a storm-wrecked locale through her BStrong organization. In other months, she’s filming herself gifting her used items to her local plebeians. I love a good gift, but I can also admit that this is an off-putting move.

Either way, what Bethenny does have is a penchant for the press. After Chanel blocked her from entering their store, mistaking her for a middle-class peasant, she took to the internet. Following this nope, Bethenny went back to the store dressed like an A-lister, causing Chanel’s polished doors to swing wide open for all of her various shopping endeavors. Cue Bethenny, making a pretty valid “elitist” point.

Remember that one scene in Pretty Women, where Julia Roberts returns to the expensive shop that had formally snubbed her? When she returns, dressed like a rich b*tch, she lets the sales ladies know that their prior dismissals were a “Big mistake. Big. Huge.”
She is Bethenny and Bethenny is she.
After being denied entrance to Chanel based on her relaxed wares, Bethenny played a little game with the store. This time, she headed over to the store in a black dress with pearls, and on her arm was a matching Chanel purse. “I’m going into Chanel now dressed much differently than I was dressed yesterday,” she says, adding “If they let me in because of how I look, Christmas is canceled.”
Not shockingly, they let her in. “No problem today,” she said after her shopping session came to an end. While she didn’t buy anything during this elitist-filled call-out, she did manage to have the internet(s) “mentioning it all” when it comes to her name. So, even though Christmas is now canceled, Bethenny is still out there winning.
