This year, reality stars are having a hard time remembering the very basic fact that getting behind the wheel after drinking booze is never a good idea. We’ve had a Southern Charm star busted with empty Fireball bottles in the car. Real Housewives stars crashing their cars and refusing breathalyzer tests. The latest alleged drunk driver is Love & Marriage: Huntsville Alum Maurice Jefferson Scott.
Another day, another reality star with a DUI
According to LoveBScott, Maurice got picked up by the police at 12:04 pm for driving under the influence. We know that sometimes brunches can get carried away, but let’s be serious. What was he doing driving around drunk at noon?
After spending 12 hours in the county jail Maurice bonded himself out for $5,000. He hasn’t commented on the arrest, but plenty of Love & Marriage Huntsville fans have weighed in. Mainly, they’re concerned about the fact that this is the third cast member arrested in 2024. We’re not even halfway through the year yet, so at this rate, the entire cast could end up behind bars before 2025.
The crime spree started with Martell Holt. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence back in January 2024. The charge stemmed from an alleged threatening text he sent, but he claims he’s innocent.
Then, Destiny Payton-Williams got arrested for fraud charges. She has been accused of identity theft. So, between fraud, drunk driving, and domestic violence, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville crew has all of the bases covered.
The word on the street is that Season 9 of Love & Marriage: Huntsville is currently filming. The show is produced by former Real Housewives producer Carlos King. He teased that all of this drama was captured by the cameras. At this point, Season 9 is going to be less like a reality show and more like a true crime documentary.
