Congratulations are in order! Pastor Jamal Bryant, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant, is getting married. He recently popped the question to his partner, Karri Turner, and she said yes. Then, he shared the exciting news during a recent sermon at his church, New Birth Missionary Baptist.
Wedding bells are ringing
Jamal shared a video of himself introducing his fiance to his church. There were tears. The crowd went wild. Honestly, the hysterics rival that of a Taylor Swift concert, except it’s a pastor announcing that he’s taking another shot at holy matrimony.
“I am so grateful to God that she has consented to be wife,” Pastor Jamal announced to his congregation.
In the video, you see Kari make her way to the stage, pulpit, or whatever you want to call it. She had tears in her eyes as her soon-to-be husband gushed over their love.
“I can’t tell you how happy I am, how happy my family is, how happy my children are, and I hope my church is happy for me,” Jamal continued.
It’s obvious from the video that Jamal’s church was extremely excited about the news. We’re just hoping this turns out better than his last marriage. Famously, he cheated on Gizelle during their relationship. She wrote all about it in her semi-autographical book, My Word. Plus, Monique Samuels hilariously called it out during the RHOP Season 5 reunion when she said he was “swinging his big D around his congregation.”
So, what is it about that Karri that makes Jamal so smitten? According to him, it’s not just because she’s beautiful. He explained to his congregation that she’s also “anointed” and makes him a better man. Let’s hope so!
