Ariana Madix proved one thing at the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion — her wellbeing is always going to come first, whether you like her boundaries or not. As it should — especially after all of the nonsense that Tom Sandoval and Co. put her through. Everyone’s lucky she’s been as lovely as she has in the post-Scandoval aftermath.
Ariana had to battle trolls at the Pump Rules reunion left and right, mostly in the form of Lala Kent and, to a lesser extent, Scheana Shay. For some reason, the former SURvers just can’t grasp the idea of boundaries, Katie Maloney aside.
Now, a former VPR OG is coming to Ariana’s defense in a rational way. Honestly, for some reason, it’s pretty refreshing these days.
Ariana’s boundaries are not rules to live by for anyone but Ariana, Stassi explains
On a recent episode of her podcast, former VPR star Stassi Schroeder perfectly explained Ariana’s firm boundaries. She related it to Kelly Rowland recently making headlines for an altercation with a security guard at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Why is it that when people have boundaries, people get so offended personally? Like, they feel like it’s a personal attack,” Stassi asked. She should’ve just addressed the question directly to Lala and Scheana.
Stassi has a “firm” belief that anyone is allowed to decide what they do and do not want to accept, in their own lives. “I can choose not to be treated poorly — that’s our right. And if it’s uncomfortable for someone when you have a boundary, that means that the boundary should probably definitely be there,” Stassi continued. Say it louder for the Ariana haters in the back!
Also, Stassi defended the idea that boundaries are intended for the person who makes them. “I’m not saying you can’t cross this line, I’m saying if you decide to cross this line then I have the right to walk away and I will,” Stassi said. It sounds like she watched Ariana’s epic finale walkout.
