Ariana Madix Takes Aim At Pump Rules Reunion Producers: ‘I Cried, You Guys Happy Now?’

Can any Vanderpump Rules fan really explain why Ariana Madix deserved to have her feet held to the fire at the Season 11 reunion? Let us not forget that Tom Sandoval was the one who blew up her life in the first place. Now that Ariana is healing post-Scandoval, she’s being crucified for setting boundaries. Make it make sense.

One of the most dramatic parts of the Pump Rules Season 11 finale was the final few minutes. Lala Kent broke the fourth wall in an attempt to question whether or not Ariana has ever been honest in front of the cameras. Sandoval proved that he really does prioritize public opinion in that memorable hot mic moment. And Ariana showed that she is strong enough to stick to her boundaries.

For some reason, the VPR producers decided to make the cast wait until the reunion to get their live reactions to the final few moments of the season. It was the toughest for Ariana to watch her character be crucified by Lala, and the dramatic editing didn’t help. In a recent appearance on Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan’s Disrespectfully podcast, Ariana elaborated a bit on what that reunion moment felt like.

Ariana and Katie aren’t happy

Ariana felt like making the cast live react to the final few minutes of the show was “pointed” toward her. “It felt like, ‘Well, we have her trapped in this room now. So we didn’t get what we wanted to get [in the finale],” Ariana said. “We didn’t get to break her down IRL, in the moment. So we’re gonna retaliate by doing that right now, in a place where she’s contractually obligated to be here, and try to force this moment now.” Mic drop.

Despite the shady move, Ariana felt like her walking away from Tom during the Pump Rules finale was the best possible way the season could’ve ended, because it was real. “And that’s like, great. I cried. You guys happy now?” Ariana said of her reunion reaction. And this is why Ariana will always be a reality TV veteran, regardless of what Lala says. However, it does seem unlikely that she’ll want to return to filming Pump Rules Season 12 after that move by production.

Like an actual good friend, Katie defended Ariana and agreed that the reunion reaction moment was uncalled for. “I hated that they waited to show us that five minutes because I was like, this feels mean, and it’s just mean towards Ariana,” Katie explained. “It didn’t affect me. It didn’t affect anyone else in the way that it was gonna affect her.” Everyone deserves a friend like Katie, especially someone like Ariana after the nonsense she’s dealt with this year.
