Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke Reveal What Happened After They Left Montauk

It’s going to take a while to recover from that Summer House Season 8 finale. We all saw the breakdown of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard’s engagement coming closer with every episode. However, the ending was somehow still shocking to watch.

The finale ended with the last weekend in the Hamptons for the crew. Typically, the Summer House cast ends the summer by packing up any loose cans of LoverBoy and jumping naked into the pool. This time, the crew packed up for one more day of fun in Montauk. Well, fun for everyone except Lindsay and Carl.

Between the day in Montauk and the dramatic breakup conversation, fans had a lot of questions about Carl and Lindsay’s dynamic. Thankfully, the two each gave their point of view to fill in the blanks of those fateful final days during the Summer House After Show. As you might expect, they have very different opinions on what happened.

The toxic train continued

Both Carl and Lindsay had a lot of accusations to throw at one another about the final days of their relationship during the After Show. “We continued to have that same toxic dynamic that everyone’s been watching, unfortunately,” Carl explained.

Apparently, during the car ride back to New York City, the two fought about everything under the sun. Lindsay blamed Carl for making her go to Montauk when she didn’t want to. Carl allegedly screamed that he didn’t know why he proposed to her in the first place. And both of them threatened to (and may have actually) record the conversation as “evidence” of some sort. And Lindsay still wanted to marry this man after all of this nonsense. The breakup was truly the biggest blessing for both of them.

Apparently, they drove in recorded silence for the final hour. Upon arriving back at their apartment, Lindsay started throwing her luggage around in frustration. It allegedly led to a case of glass sparkling water exploding in the car, which Carl claims sounded like a gunshot.

Carl retreated to the guest room after the toxic communication continued when they entered the house. “She did not stop,” Carl said, but he wouldn’t repeat what Lindsay was saying to him. “I think you’ve seen some of the things she’s capable of saying.” After three days of sleeping separately, Carl and Lindsay had their final breakup conversation. Now that is quite some context, but regardless, the red flags were flaming by the end of last summer.

The Summer House reunion starts Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
