Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are now free and on the market.
After four years of marriage, the Vanderpump Rules alums announced their separation in February. Viewers of their current show, The Valley, have gotten a bird’s eye view into the marital issues they were having before they decided to part ways.
Jax and Britt have been co-parenting their three-year-old son, Cruz, as they try to figure things out. However, it’s looking like they’re drifting further apart and dipping their toes into moving on for good. Jax just revealed that he and Brittany are both free to date other people.
Jax says he and Brittany “are both on the same page about dating other people”
Jax addressed the recent rumors about him during the latest episode of his pod, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany. People began talking after he went on a three-hour lunch date with model, Paige Woolen. Brittany was not a part of the episode – probably because she can’t even stand to be in the same room with him.
Jax clarified, “I am not — I repeat not — dating anybody. I was seen out with someone and it was strictly lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time.”
He acknowledged their challenges. “What we’re going through right now is tough. Marriage is not easy.”
Jax shared that they’re exploring many options like therapy and dating others before considering (their probably inevitable) divorce.
“We’re trying to exhaust everything before we have to go down the divorce road — if that would be the case.”
Jax says they agree with dating, while still keeping Cruz their priority. “We’re both in agreement that this is okay. The most important thing, though, is our son.”
He went on, “Part of taking some time apart means exploring other people. All marriages are different, but this is what’s good for our marriage. This is something we talked about and we’re on the same page. We have a couple of rules with it, but this is what we’re exploring.”
According to him, Brittany’s quietly been exploring as well. “I know it’s not out there what she’s doing. But she’s doing her own thing, too.”
Jax again denied “dating” Paige. “I’m not dating anybody—nor do I plan on dating anybody. I don’t know if I’m ready to start the dating thing again; I don’t think I am. We are just hanging out right now with whoever.”
It’s easy to assume exactly what Jax and Paige are doing – “not dating” is likely pure semantics. Now that Britt’s free of her Jax-induced vomiting, hopefully, she’s out and about “not dating” models, too!
