Things are getting ugly. While Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have been separated since early this year, the finale episode of The Valley has stirred up some feelings.
Filming of the show had already finished but given their surprise break-up, cameras were picked up for the aftermath. And viewers got a glimpse into just how acrimonious things had become between the couple.
The explosive finale prompted Jax to take to social media to cryptically call Brittany out.
Jax tweets and deletes
Once the episode aired, Jax posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “You may want to ask Brittany who she’s been sleeping with for the past 4 months….” He has since deleted the post.
Fans didn’t take kindly to the dig and struck back in the comments. One user wrote, “Midnight post on a Wednesday. This can’t be good.” Another added, “This is the mother of your child. Grow up.”
A third fan asked, “Why would you be treating your wife and mother of your son like this on a public forum? Do fame and TV mean that much to you to air your dirty laundry for all the world to see?”
Viewers also noted that despite the show playing out last night, the couple has been publicly separated since February. “Dude, you’ve been separated for 6. This isn’t the ‘gotcha’ moment you think it is,” one user wrote.
The end of Jax and Brittany
By the end of the Valley finale, it was clear that Jax and Brittany were done. In a confessional, Jax mused, “It is not looking good. I really think I pushed her over the edge. Maybe I am just not cut out for this.”
For her part, Brittany had clearly had enough of what she described as a “toxic situation.”
“There’s been a lot of things that I have taken Jax back for,” she told cameras. “I’ve been cheated on, I have been disrespected, I have been humiliated. I have been through a lot of pain in this relationship. It has been very public the pain I have had to deal with. I just can’t deal with it anymore.”
