Lala Kent Denies Having Conversations To Join The Valley and Pitching Spinoff

As Vanderpump Rules takes a hiatus, rumors have been flying that some of the cast are trying to cross over to The Valley. In particular, we heard that Lala Kent was already in early talks with The Valley’s casting team before Season 11 of VPR even finished airing. She already bought a house in the neighborhood, so it seems like a natural fit.

After watching the Season 11 reunion, it seemed even more believable that Lala could be ready to make the jump. She said she just wanted to go “bake a baby” in peace. A spot on The Valley might be the perfect place for that, but Lala recently claimed that there’s no truth to these casting rumors. According to her, she hasn’t been campaigning to get onto the VPR spinoff.

Setting the record straight

Lala got real about The Valley casting rumors during a recent episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala. She made it clear that the only reason she bought a house in the Valley was because that’s what she could afford. It wasn’t an attempt to try to weasel her way onto a different show.

“I have not had any conversations about entering The Valley,” Lala clarified. “I have had no thought about going on The Valley.” Um, really girl? That hypocrisy is wild, isn’t it?

She continued, “When you’re ready to be a homeowner and you make what me or my friends make, you move to the Valley. That’s just what you do.”

Meanwhile, showrunner Alex Baskin said they weren’t even scouting the VPR cast for The Valley. In an interview, he explained why they didn’t need anyone else to make Season 2 successful.

He confirmed, “I know there’s a ton of speculation about [Pump Rules] transfers over to The Valley, but that cast is pretty full right now.”

So, there’s no room for Lala on The Valley, but is it possible she’s trying to get her own show? There have also been rumors that she’s been trying to pitch a series specifically centered around her life. Imagine a whole show about Lauren from Utah. Thankfully, she told her listeners that wasn’t true either.

“I have never pitched a spinoff about my life,” Lala confirmed.

For now, it looks like we’ll just have to wait to see if Lala comes back to Vanderpump Rules for Season 12. Even that is still up in the air. Insiders close to the show have said no casting decisions have been made.
