Paige DeSorbo understands the reality of being on reality TV. It means that aspects of your life will be available online, not just today but for the foreseeable future. That’s why she’s okay with her potential future children seeing her time on Summer House.
During a recent online podcast interview for Marie Claire’s Nice Talk, Paige spoke with Nikki Ogunnaike about a wide variety of topics. One was how she would react to her future children watching her reality television stint.
Building something bigger
“I acknowledge that I’m on a reality TV show, and one day I probably won’t be,” Paige shared. “My future children will see all of that. And if my daughter were to watch this and say, ‘like okay, Mom, you did all of this, and then you just like moved? Why did you do that?’”
She could have easily said she was in love, wanted a baby, etc. However, that’s just a small part of her decision-making process. She wants the main takeaway of her future child to be that she made decisions based on what she wanted to do and not what “a man” told her to do.
That man in question is Paige’s boyfriend, Craig Conover of Southern Charm. The couple hit it off while filming Winter House together. And now, they are taking the next step in their relationship. The Giggly Squad podcast host is moving to Charleston with Craig for the summer.
But Paige maintains that the couple is still figuring out their future. She wants to maintain a level of independence and continue working and making her own money. She quickly explained that Craig would never “hold money over her head.” Still, she likes knowing she makes enough to support herself and her decisions.
She hopes her future kids will understand that no matter what happens, Paige wants to continue her career. She was focused on “building something even bigger than what I dreamed of,” she concluded.
