Things were heating up on Below Deck Mediterranean between Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher. How odd considering Gael has a boyfriend. But Aesha Scott didn’t mind jumping to Gael’s defense.
Those watching the show know that production foiled Gael’s attempts at secrecy. She and Nathan exchanged texts, looking for a place to meet up “without cameras.” Of course, that would be breaking the cardinal rule of reality TV. And on a boat so small? Cameras are everywhere.
So, even though Nathan found a potential meeting point in the starboard bow locker, the cameras busted Gael in the galley. “Oh sh*t,” she mumbled. Adding insult to injury, production asked if she needed a mic. So, what did Aesha have to say on the matter?
Aesha took issue with Gael’s boyfriend’s texts
On Watch What Happens Live, Aesha shared her thoughts on Gael. Andy Cohen asked straight up, “By the way, thoughts on Gael’s secret late-night tryst with Nathan? Were you surprised they were looking for a place to bongo jambo?”
Aesha responded, “I wouldn’t say that I was surprised. The chemistry was pretty hot right from the start. But I just wanna say, in Gael’s defense, if you heard the way that her current boyfriend was speaking to her and messaging her, I probably would be looking elsewhere as well.” Aesha notably used air quotes around the words “current boyfriend.” “Right, oooh,” Andy said.
“Not very supportive,” Aesha emphasized of Gael’s boyfriend. Aesha’s statement was understandably controversial. Most reasonable people would agree that cheating is indefensible. But relationships are give and take. If one partner doesn’t properly give, why should they receive such courtesy? Of course, relationships are never simple. It’s a complicated matter.
