West Wilson Reveals More About Why He Was Scared To Commit to Ciara Miller

West Wilson is starting to see the flip side of the Bravoverse. He’s no longer the fan-favorite after the world discovered he crushed Ciara Miller’s heart during the Summer House reunion.

Speaking of the reunion, homeboy had a rough first go. Not only was he eaten up by Paige DeSorbo, the sports journalist just kind of sat there, repeating nothing but “ums” and “ahs.”

“I was nervous because I hadn’t seen her in a long time. And two, we never had hardcore closure,” he said about his reunion performance. “We just agreed to maybe not talk, and then I didn’t really know where we stood. Three, I tried to react to what everyone else was saying [instead of] saying what I wanted to say. It was such a disaster.”

West stands by his decision to dump Ciara ahead of Summer House Season 8 airing

Even after facing the wrath of the Bravosphere, West said he stood by his decision to end things with Ciara. “I still stand on the decision I made,” he said. “… our relationship ran its course. I hope that decision doesn’t haunt me forever, even though I still think it’s the right one.”

When he appeared on The Viall Files, he shared more about what led him to end things with his Summer House co-star. “This is going to sound like a sh-tty excuse,” he said. “I think compromise scares me a little bit. Operating with only my interests feels safe.”

“Everything’s been straightforward [for my parents]. I’ve been fired, laid off, moved, f*cking done on a TV show,” West said. “I’ve made massive life decisions only with my interest and not needing to put someone’s interests in play. [I didn’t] need to compromise.”

During the reunion, Paige called West out for seemingly only caring about how the public would perceive him rather than being completely honest. He seems to agree.

“This is what my parents say. What they think my trauma is,” West explained. “They think … when I was young, I developed this habit of trying [please people].”

“[My parents think] I’ve carried that into my 20s.”

The cast for Season 9 hasn’t been solidified yet, but West and Ciara better be receiving their pick-up letters. There are topics to discuss.
