Lindsay Hubbard is bouncing back after her Summer House season from hell. Season 8 centered around the breakdown of her engagement to Carl Radke, consequently ending in that heated reunion. It’s hard to imagine that the season was supposed to end with the crew filming their destination wedding, but plans changed.
It’s honestly wild to think of Carl and Lindsay’s wedding happening now. Sure, they had everything booked and ready to go, but it’s just weird to think of an alternate universe where the couple said “I Do.” Basically, it was best for them to go their separate ways. Lindsay had one final mess to deal with before she closed this chapter of her story — her wedding dress. HubbHouse apparently found a charitable way to get rid of her supposed-to-be wedding dresses.
Lindsay is giving back
Lindsay revealed on Instagram that she’s teamed up with Kleinfeld Bridal to launch Kleinfeld Again. It’s the brand’s resale website for never worn or gently-used gowns. Lindsay posted a photo alongside three gowns that she was supposed to wear on her big day that are now for auction online. “I may not have made it down the aisle, but at least my wedding dresses will,” Lindsay wrote in her caption. “Cheers to the final step in my healing journey. One day, I know I’ll be back with my #Kleinfeld family again when the time is right.”
On top of auctioning off the gowns, Lindsay is going to donate the proceeds to The Chick Mission. It’s a nonprofit that helps women diagnosed with cancer preserve their fertility and future family options. “You know, I bought these dresses out of love, and they are stunning and beautiful, and I do believe that they … deserve a second home to help someone celebrate that huge milestone of love,” Lindsay told Page Six. “So I am really excited for someone else to enjoy them because I truly fell in love with each and every one of them.” Good for Lindsay for finding something positive out of such a nasty breakup. She even gets bonus points for paving a way to help other people through it all.
