Former WWE star Nikki Garcia (aka Nikki Bella) is headed to the Scottish Highlands to compete in The Traitors Season 3. The other half of the “Bella Twins” wrestling team, Brie Garcia, is predicting her sister’s biggest competition in the castle.
“When I think of personality and athleticism and all that,” Brie shared, “I would say Gabby [Windey] from The Bachelorette … Just seeing her on Dancing With the Stars … she’s a tough one, and she has grit. I feel like that’ll be Nikki’s competition.”
Both Nikki and Gabby have been cast on the next season of the popular Peacock show. They’ll be joined by Chrishell Stause, Wells Adams, and Ciara Miller, among others.
Separation was difficult
“I’m so interested to see [Nikki on the show] because there’s two sides to her,” Brie told Us Weekly on June 17. “She’s this tough girl and she’s really smart, but she also has a big heart. So I’m like, ‘How is she going to do in there and without me? How is she really going to do?’”
The sisters have always been extremely close. During their 15-year tenure in the WWE, the identical twins were inseparable. Not only did they work together, but they lived next door to each other in Scottsdale, Arizona. From 2016 to 2021, they starred on Total Bellas, which revealed their day-to-day lives with their families.
Both sisters got pregnant at the same time and gave birth to their sons a day apart. They currently live across the street from each other in Napa, California. After being apart from each other for only short periods their entire lives, Brie said the separation has been “awful.”
But Brie added, “I cannot wait to watch. I’m like, ‘Is she going to be a Traitor? Is she not?’ I don’t know. I know nothing.”
“We get one FaceTime a week,” Brie continued. “They have someone sitting right next to her, so I don’t get to know anything … She will not spill anything, and it’s killing me.”
Identical twin family life
Nikki shares a three-year-old son, Matteo, with her former DWTS partner/now-husband Artem Chigvintsev. Brie shares a six-year-old daughter, Birdie, and three-year-old Buddy with her husband, former WWE wrestler Bryan Danielson. Since they live in such close proximity to each other, they’re raising their respective children as siblings rather than cousins.
“She is way more strict than I am and more of a helicopter mom,” Brie shared. “I won’t take my eyes off my kids, like, I am always watching, but I’m also kicked back. I’ll be the one at the park sitting on the bench watching, [while Nikki’s] following … I feel like I’m definitely a more laid-back parent, and she’s a little more uptight.”
I understand where she’s coming from, though. Nikki wanted a baby for years when she was with former fiancé John Cena, who didn’t really want children at the time. She waited a long time for her baby boy and only has the one, so he’s precious to her. It will be hard for her to be away from Matteo, Artem, and Brie while she’s filming The Traitors, but I hope she does well.
