Marlo Hampton Reacts To Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Soft Reboot

Marlo Hampton didn’t want to leave the Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she had to. And now that she’s spending time away from the camera, the fashion maven is sharing her thoughts on the new cast.

Don’t forget… Bravo announced a reboot several months ago, and Porsha Williams was the first Housewife said to be returning. Later, the network revealed that Kenya Moore would return alongside a few newbies, including Shamea Morton.

So, what does Marlo think of the RHOA’s newest Georgia peaches? Keep reading to find out.

During the off-season, Marlo told the Bravosphere she wouldn’t return to the series for its 16th season.

“This break from RHOA is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future and not reliving my past,” she said in a previous interview. “My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity.”

In a new interview with Us Weekly, the reality star spilled a little tea about the new season… and we’re here for it.

“It’s been really interesting seeing the girls and to see the new direction they’re going in,” she said. “I’m happy for them, and I can’t wait to tune in and watch. I ended up being a part of this franchise for 10 years. How do I not watch? It’s my family. I love my family, everyone at Bravo, everyone.”

As for the new cast members, like Britt Eady and Kelli Ferrell, Marlo said she knows them from around town. “I do know them from around. I’ve been at a couple of events with them. I’ve spoken with Kelly [and] Britt. Angela, I have not met,” she said.

Now, it’s unclear how Season 16 of Atlanta will move forward, considering Kenya’s current suspension. Of course, this begs the question of whether Marlotta (as NeNe Leakes calls her) would return to the show.

“It depends,” she said. “If Bravo asked me to come back and do a show, yes, but right now, I think they’re full.”
