Joe Gorga Gets Emotional Discussing Kids and Family Rift

Is Joe Gorga thinking of burying the hatchet? Perhaps. But the rift between him and his sister, Teresa Giudice, might just be too wide to reconcile, even when that means the kids might miss out.

Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are all too aware of the rift between Tre, Melissa Gorga, and their respective families. RHONJ Season 13 ended on a surprisingly sour note as the families seemed irreconcilable.

That rift extended between seasons with no resolution in sight. But now, Joe looks to be considering the implications of an ongoing divide between him and his sister.

Father Joe officiates his cousin’s wedding

Bravo recently released a sneak peek of the upcoming RHONJ Season 14, Episode 9. The preview saw Joe officiating Melissa’s cousin’s nuptials. He addressed the wedding guests with a “Good evening, everyone. My name is Joe Gorga, and today, it’s Father Joe.” When Joe’s cousin, Nicholas Marco came to the altar, he recounted the time they first met.

“When I met you, I looked at you and I was like, ‘Wow, look at this good-looking guy.’ And I said, ‘How are the ladies? You must be knocking ‘em dead,’ not knowing that I was keeping this burden on you. One day, you came out to me. I looked at you. I hugged you. And I loved you more than ever.” The tender moment caused Joe to reflect.

When alone with the cameras, he shared, “It was just a beautiful moment … It makes me think of my sister, and I say, ‘Wow, she won’t be at my kids’ weddings. My nieces will be getting married and I’m not gonna be there.” He also expressed gratitude for the way Melissa’s family accepted him. “We cheer each other on and we love each other. And I’m part of that.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
